This is the moment a tubby bus passenger puts a teenager in a savage headlock because he was fed up with the boy talking loudly on the phone.

Several people stood around filming as one woman pleaded with the man to let the teenager go as he kept the boy in a vicious headlock in which he was unable to move.

The incident was apparently filmed on a bus in the Russian city of Voronezh about 500 kilometres south of Moscow. 

The video shows a woman arguing with the man to let the teenager go, whose arms are flailing as he tries to escape.

At some point, the person filming lowers the camera as the argument becomes more violent with other people getting involved, and in that time off camera, the teenager is apparently released and the man is seen going to the open doors and getting off the bus.

Reports later said that the teenager, who can be seen with blood on his face, suffered a broken nose as a result of the attack.

Once the man is off the bus he is seen arguing with another passenger who was possibly involved in helping to free the teenager, and he then walks off himself.

It is reported the boy that was put in the headlock was a minor, and police are investigating after the teenager and his family made a complaint.

A statement from the Investigative Committee of Russia, obtained by CEN, said: “Information received about the use of violence by a man against a teenager in a minibus. It is reported that the man was annoyed by the teenager talking on the phone loudly, and he used violence against him.”

They added that the investigation is ongoing.
