A furious parent and her daughter’s maths teacher got into a fight after the mum tried to confront her for her allegedly abusive manner with her pupils.
The scandal unfolded at an elementary school in Dedenevo, in central Russia, on 9th November.
It reportedly began after the teacher, whose identity was not revealed, began arguing with a six-grade girl over poorly done homework and allegedly compared her to a cow.
Pupils claimed that the conflict was just the tip of the iceberg as the woman constantly shouts at the children and insults them, calling them “creatures, animals, and ill-mannered brats”.
During the dispute with the six-grader, the teacher allegedly said to the girl she should “move to Khokhlostan,” a derogatory term that was historically used to refer to Ukraine.
The girl reportedly complained to her mum, who went to the school to talk to the teacher, along with the girl’s elder sister.
When the teacher saw the parent, she reportedly expelled all the kids from the class to have a one-on-one conversation.
But the conversation did not go well, and a brawl ensued, which, according to witnesses, was provoked by the “maths teacher,” who can be seen dressed in a floral shirt and dark trousers in this dramatic video.
During the conversation, the mother demanded to call the director, and the teacher tried to force the woman out of the classroom.
Phone footage shows the two women shoving each other by the door and pulling at each other’s hair.
Other teachers and schoolchildren tried to break up the brawl.
One colleague shouted: “Stop it! What are you doing? You are a teacher!”
But the fighting continued regardless, and the woman’s daughter also joined in.
The young girl shouted: “I’ll bury you now, you’ve become full of yourself? You’ll leave for your ‘Khokhlostan’ now, do you understand me?”
Both women reportedly sustained injuries during the altercation.
One pupil who witnessed the scene said: “A second or two later, a fight starts: glasses, phone, chair go flying.
“The maths teacher grabs the parent by the hair and starts choking her. I was very scared; I started crying. The teacher broke her lip and nose.”
Pupils claimed that the teacher is often aggressive and insults them.
However, they claimed the school does not address this problem, adding that the problematic teacher has not been fired simply because the school lacks maths teachers.
The school’s director, who was not named, later claimed that she spoke to both women and concluded that the six-graded had disrespected the teacher first.
Police were called and took both women’s statements.
The prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into this incident.
