These are the first pictures of a man run over by a 77-tonne Airbus A320 and left fighting for his life after losing a leg.
The distressing images were filmed at Koltsovo airport in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg on 19th May.
The footage shows the 21-year-old airport worker, named as Rail Khasanov, with his back to the huge aircraft as it slowly inches forward towards him.
It knocks him over and leaves him apparently pinned to the ground after crushing his leg.
Local media said that Rail, who had been working at the airport for one and a half years, was rushed to hospital.
He has now reportedly regained consciousness but his condition has not yet been stabilised, according to Russian media.
His brother has told local media that “his leg was amputated”.
The captain of the aircraft, who has not been named, was reportedly removed from the flight, with a new crew taking over to fly the plane to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan after the flight was delayed for three and a half hours.
The pilot has been questioned by the authorities and has been accused of “negligence”, according to local media.
A spokesperson for Ural Airlines said: “While taxiing from the aircraft parking lot, the technician suffered a leg injury.
“An ambulance was called to the scene, and the circumstances are being clarified.”
The Russian Investigative Committee has reportedly opened a case for “violation of safety rules that resulted in serious harm to health through negligence.”
