This is the baffling moment a truck’s doors burst open and shed its load of plaster casts of vaginas after a road crash in Russia.
Hundreds of the white casts, believed to have been on their way to a gallery, spilt out onto the road in Irkutsk, Russia, after a traffic shunt on 22nd September.
Bizarre video footage shot by a passerby shows a trail of the casts leading up to the back of the lorry.
Local media reports that the casts were reloaded, and the drivers sorted out the blame for the crash without calling in the police.
The footage shows a man believed to be the driver of the truck trying to sort out the cargo and trying to get back on board.
The department regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs later said in a statement: “There was apparently no significant material damage, as no one called the traffic police at the time.”
They added: “This is quite usual. If there is a minor accident and no one is injured, then there is no need to call the traffic police.
“After exchanging details, they apparently left to continue their journeys.”
Artists often turn to vaginas when they want to create a buzz about their work.
Brazilian sculptor Juliana Notari split critics with a giant 100ft vagina created on a hillside from concrete.
She claimed: “It questions the relationship between nature and culture in our phallocentric and anthropocentric Western society.”
