Schoolboy Shot Friend In Face With Flare Gun Then Lied To Say They Were Attacked By Strangers

Schoolboy shot his friend in the face with a flare gun and came up with a story about an attack by unknown people so that “parents don’t scold”.

The incident happened in the Rostic’s café on Bogatyrskaya Street in St. Petersburg, Russia on October 30.

CCTV footage shows school students in café aiming at each other. One of them twirls a hunting flare gun in his hand.

Next moment he fires it right in the face of his friend. Smoke gun can be seen as teenager covers face with hands.

Then injured teenager leaves the café through door, his friends leave the other way.

As a result, the victim received a burn to the cornea and an abrasion on the bridge of his nose and was hospitalized.

According to local media, later, the boys reported that they were attacked by unknown people in balaclavas so that their parents would not scold them.

The St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office announced an investigation into the incident with minors.

Prosecutor’s Office of St. Petersburg said in a statement on October 31:

“The prosecutor’s office of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg is establishing all the circumstances of the incident that occurred between minors in one of the restaurants on Bogatyrskaya Street.

As a result of a shot from an aerosol pistol, one of the teenagers suffered bodily injuries in the form of eye burns, abrasions and bruises.

The supervisory agency also monitors the progress and results of the inspection carried out on this fact by law enforcement agencies.”
