A scandalous Russian rapper who attended a lavish “naked party” with nothing but a sock to cover his manhood fled to the US to avoid being drafted after he had promised to join the country’s military to keep out of jail.
Rapper Nikolai Vasiliev, better known as Vacio, reportedly left for the United States after receiving a summons to the military registration and enlistment office.
The 26-year-old artist previously made headlines for attending a debauched party in Russia‘s capital wearing nothing but trainers and a Balenciaga sock to cover his genitals as per the dress code.
The scandalous two-day party called ‘Almost naked party’ took place at the “Mutabor” club in Moscow on the evening of 20th December, 2023.
Various stars and influencers attended the controversial event wearing transparent clothing.
Public activists appealed to law enforcement agencies to investigate the party for drug and “gay propaganda”, which is illegal to do in Russia.
Vacio was arrested and detained for 15 days on charges of “petty hooliganism”.
The event’s organiser, blogger Nastya Ivleeva was also arrested and criticised by many for hosting such a lavish event with VIP ticket prices reportedly as high as RUB 1 million (GBP 8,700) amidst a time of war.
Following the debacle, the rapper promised to enlist in the national military to make amends and avoid facing further fines or other legal consequences.
His lawyer, Roman Popov, announced in January that Vacio had passed his medical exam and was waiting to be called upon.
Popov said at the time: “He will be conscripted, he will go to the army in the spring. The commission is still ongoing.
“He will serve wherever the Motherland sends him. Where they call, he will go, there’s no choice.
“Depending on the fitness category, it hasn’t been determined yet. He won’t flee abroad, he won’t be scared.
“It’s an honourable duty of every citizen of the Russian Federation – he will serve!”
However, days before he was meant to show up for his conscription, Vacio left the country and reportedly fled to the US.
An unnamed source told local media: “He had a summons for 13th May.”
Vacio’s lawyer claimed that he knew nothing about the whereabouts of his client.
Popov said: “He didn’t provide me with such information. I don’t know anything about it.”
The last time Vacio appeared in the public sphere was in April 2024.
At that time, he reportedly published a video on his social media, showing 10 ways to destroy that same white sock he wore to the infamous party.
Nikolay’s 26-year-old girlfriend, whose name was not revealed, commented saying that she does not understand the rapper.
She shared: “I and our entire team are very sorry – Kolya left the country, Vacio no longer exists. I don’t know how to convey the bitterness and disappointment.
“Talking about it really hurts. And I found out about all this not even from him personally…”
She also stated that Vacio is “yet another person stitched with the American dream” and noted that, in reality, “you can’t soar high by cutting off your roots.”
