Cosmetic surgeon Rustam Kurmanbaev caused outrage when photos emerged of him giving the gruesome gift to a female medic after slicing it from the patient’s abdomen.

Now judges in Novosibirsk, southern Russia, have ordered him to pay RUB 1.5 million (GBP 13,008) to another patient who says he gave her a “hideous” giant backside.

Mum-of-three Lyubov Laufer had paid RUB 400,000 (GBP 3,473) for lipo surgery to suck fat from her waist and tummy and inject some of it in her buttocks and boobs.

But, says Lyubov, when she came round from the op she was horrified at the results, local media reported on 21st May.

Kurmanbaev, she claims, was supposed to have tweaked her rear end with 200 grammes of her tummy fat.

Instead, he pumped it with two litres of the stuff, 10 times the amount Lyubov had agreed.

And when she checked what had happened to her breasts they were different sizes, one was left hugely larger than the other, and one of of her nipples had disappeared under a fold of flesh.

Lyubov said: “My stomach was in a terrible state, and one breast was smaller than the other. But the worst thing was the size of my buttocks.

“How would you react if you went to a surgeon for a ‘Kardashian butt’ and instead of 200 grammes of fat, which would have given it a bit more shape, he pumped me with two litres!”

Lyubov told judges that soon after flying home to Moscow in 2021 her body temperature began to soar dangerously and she was admitted to hospital for emergency treatment.

But local media reports that despite being ordered to pay compensation, the medic has not given Lyubov a penny and is appealing the judgement.

Kurmanbaev is reportedly still facing an ethics enquiry over a heart-shaped piece of skin he cut from a patient to give to a female medic during an operation.

The scandal emerged earlier this year when he posted pictures on his Instagram page with the caption ‘Happy Birthday’, tagging the medic.

The gruesome snaps show a piece of human skin cut out in the shape of a heart measuring around eight inches by five inches.

In one, Kurmanbaev is seen holding the heart out in front of him as he poses in his scrubs in the operating theatre.

Then, in a second snap, a female colleague can be seen holding the heart out in front of her chest as she grins behind her surgical mask.

A third photo shows the heart on a piece of blood-soaked tissue paper.

Kurmanbaev was castigated by ethics experts after they studied the photos.

Vladimir Korchak, Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Russian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons, said: “Of course, this is a violation of ethical norms.”

He added: “He can do whatever he wants in the operating room, but posting it on social media is simply disgraceful.

“For an experienced surgeon, it’s an inhumane act, in my opinion.”

Korchak said Kurmanbaev could even be struck off the medical register over the row.

When editors from the Russian news outlet Komsomolskaya Pravda called Kurmanbaev he reportedly told them: “We’re suing everyone! We’re suing all of you, you bunch of idiots!”
